Description

  • Define, validate, and guide the construction autonomy strategy from concept to successful product.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to identify target customers, operating domains, and the MVP.
  • Lead customer-facing experiments to validate or reject early product concepts.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand customers, business needs, and market conditions.
  • Define requirements for autonomy systems, including perception, SLAM, operating domains, hazard detection, and safety compliance.
  • Define requirements for path planning, machine guidance, controls, and other in-field machine behaviors.
  • Establish system performance criteria and monitoring to meet evolving customer expectations.
  • Own data collection strategy and test sets supporting machine-learning model development.
  • Partner with leadership to establish the long-term product vision and roadmap.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and initiatives needed to make the product successful.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience in a technology company.
  • Strong technical competency in robotics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning systems.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with software development and product management methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
  • Ability to solve unstructured, ambiguous problems using curiosity and first-principles thinking.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and engage stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex technical product information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to align teams around a mission and take ownership of delivery.
  • Preferred: Experience with autonomy, especially automotive autonomy or adjacent robotics.
  • Preferred: Experience taking products from ideation through commercialization or working on platform teams; MBA or MSE.
