Description

  • Review and triage findings from Snyk Open Source, Code, Container, and IaC, distinguishing actionable and reachable issues from false positives.
  • Prioritize vulnerabilities by severity, exploitability, exposure, and remediation SLAs, and route work through Jira.
  • Remediate vulnerabilities through dependency upgrades, first-party code changes, container image updates, and infrastructure-as-code corrections.
  • Test changes to confirm vulnerabilities are resolved without regressions, adding unit and integration tests where needed.
  • Submit clear pull requests documenting findings, changes, and verification steps, and address review feedback.
  • Prepare risk-acceptance or ignore recommendations with justification for team-lead approval.
  • Maintain current Snyk projects, Jira tickets, and remediation status for SLA reporting.
  • Escalate findings requiring breaking upgrades, architectural changes, or cross-team coordination.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and document recurring fixes for reuse by other engineers.

Requirements

  • Based in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, or the Dominican Republic.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Ruby and experience with Python.
  • Experience with dependency management tools such as Bundler/RubyGems and pip, including upgrade-related breaking changes.
  • Strong Git and pull request workflow knowledge.
  • Experience with relational databases and writing unit and integration tests.
  • Ability to make careful, well-tested changes in unfamiliar, established codebases.
  • Fluent English, strong written communication, and availability to work US time zone hours.
  • Experience with C#/.NET, security fundamentals, Snyk or similar tools, Docker, AWS, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, or AI coding tools is preferred.
