Description

  • Develop and maintain a C++17 endpoint sensor for Windows, Linux, and macOS customer machines.
  • Capture, process, and stream host and network telemetry with minimal system footprint.
  • Ensure memory safety, thread safety, graceful failure handling, and reliable large-scale deployments.
  • Build and enhance virtualized test environments for attack scenarios across multiple operating systems.
  • Own engineering features end to end, from customer requirements through delivery.
  • Work directly with customers to understand and resolve technical challenges.
  • Independently prioritize and manage two major projects alongside smaller AI-driven engineering tasks.
  • Use AI agents and frontier models to accelerate development and navigate unfamiliar technologies and codebases.
  • Collaborate with engineering colleagues while communicating progress, risks, and technical decisions clearly.
  • Maintain high standards for correctness, performance, testing, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in systems programming or low-level software development.
  • 4+ years of hands-on modern C++ experience, including strong C++17 proficiency.
  • 3+ years of systems programming experience, including operating system internals, kernel responsibilities, and memory management.
  • 3+ years of experience with multithreading, concurrency, and thread safety in performance-sensitive applications.
  • 3+ years of experience in memory management, memory safety, and performance optimization for systems-level applications.
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing, correctness, reliability, and failure handling.
  • Daily hands-on experience using AI agents, frontier AI models, and LLMs for software engineering and learning unfamiliar technical areas.
  • Ability to independently own projects, set priorities, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver outcomes.
  • Customer-focused communication skills and willingness to work directly with customers.
  • Availability to work remotely in alignment with UK working hours.
  • Strong Windows systems experience is encouraged; Linux and macOS experience can be learned.
  • Experience with packet processing, network sensing, eBPF, kernel or driver development, endpoint security/EDR, CMake, Docker, OCSF, OpenTelemetry, or Python is preferred.
