Description

  • Facilitate interactive virtual and in-person workshops on leadership, workplace culture, employee experience, and anti-oppressive practice.
  • Design and adapt facilitation techniques, tools, and activities to create engaging, reflective, and immediately applicable learning experiences tailored to each client’s context.
  • Create and maintain respectful environments that support open dialogue, honest reflection, and constructive conversation on complex and sensitive topics.
  • Support leaders and teams to translate learning into everyday practice by building individual and collective capacity for accountability, collaboration, and change.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, external clients, and stakeholders to build trust and align learning outcomes with organizational goals.
  • Analyze participant feedback and refine facilitation methods, content, and materials to continuously improve learning outcomes.
  • Stay informed on emerging research and leading practices and integrate those insights into facilitation approach and materials.
  • Prepare session materials, perform routine administrative tasks, and participate in internal or client meetings as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience facilitating impactful training programs both virtually and in-person, particularly on DEI and workplace culture.
  • Deep, intersectional understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and familiarity with anti-oppressive and decolonizing practices.
  • High emotional intelligence and an empathetic, compassionate, and resourceful facilitation style for navigating diverse viewpoints and emotions.
  • Strong communication skills (visual, written, and verbal) with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and engagingly.
  • Adept at using virtual collaboration tools and adapting facilitation methods to diverse client needs.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and client relationships.
  • Access to a private, secure, quiet workspace and reliable internet for confidential client work and remote facilitation.
  • Availability for some standard business hours (most clients operate Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST).
  • Comfort engaging as an independent contractor or via a corporation and willingness to contract for a 1-year term with project-by-project engagements.
  • Preferred: demonstrated experience leading sessions on Indigenous relations at work, neurodiversity at work, and AI and ethics in the workplace.

Benefits

  • $40–$50 per hour for prep, admin, content development, and meetings, plus $500 per session facilitated.
