Description

  • Define and execute the IoT and data analysis technology strategy and roadmap for BCI projects and initiatives.
  • Build, lead, and manage the IoT and data analysis technology team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
  • Research and identify the best IoT data sources and data analysis approaches for BCI use cases and objectives.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy applications and solutions using IoT, data analysis, data science, and data modelling tooling.
  • Ensure the quality, reliability, security, and scalability of BCI technology products and services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of technology solutions and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project partners, sponsors, donors, and beneficiaries.
  • Generate opportunities for strategic partnerships and attend conferences and events to promote BCI.
  • Present research findings and insights through PowerPoint decks and engage with key stakeholders.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, climate, and sustainability developments relevant to BCI's mission.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in IoT, data analysis, data science, data modelling, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong technical proficiency in programming languages, frameworks, and tools for data analysis and data science, such as Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
  • Familiarity with data sources, formats, and standards such as APIs, JSON, XML, and CSV.
  • Experience developing and deploying applications and solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience leading and managing technology teams and projects, including agile methodologies, budgeting, reporting, and documentation.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, balance competing demands, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Aptitude in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish is desirable.
  • Portfolio of supported open-source GitHub projects is desirable.
  • Passion for climate and sustainability issues and willingness to learn across technology and climate domains.
