Description

  • Sell Square’s ecosystem in person across your assigned market, with most customer interactions conducted face to face.
  • Source leads, run discovery conversations and demos, and close new business with prospective sellers.
  • Develop a local market strategy to win share and build Square’s presence in your city.
  • Generate top-of-funnel pipeline through drop-ins, referrals, strategic partnerships, and community associations.
  • Partner with account management and customer support to monitor seller account health and generate referrals.
  • Work with onboarding teams to ensure sellers are implemented successfully.
  • Build and maintain referral channels with active sellers, local partners, and channel sales teams.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the needs of restaurants, retail, and service-based businesses.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales goals and KPIs.
  • Use Salesforce to track sales activity, pipeline status, and outcomes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of full-cycle sales experience with direct field sales experience.
  • Experience exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals.
  • Experience selling a diverse ecosystem of products.
  • Ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Business development experience, including hunting and cold calling.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to live in or near the market you serve.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent CRM experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in payment processing or related technology such as payroll, loyalty, or time management preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience working in or selling to restaurants, retailers, or service-based businesses preferred.

  • Starting pay of $148,700 to $223,100 in Zone A, $138,300 to $207,500 in Zone B, $130,900 to $196,300 in Zone C, or $123,400 to $185,200 in Zone D, including target variable compensation.
