Description

  • Spend about 80% of the week in the field visiting local businesses and executing in-person sales activities.
  • Generate, qualify, and close full-cycle sales opportunities across Square’s product suite.
  • Build pipeline from the ground up through outreach, community engagement, events, networking, and targeted partnerships.
  • Develop strong relationships with local sellers and position Square as a trusted local expert.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support smooth onboarding and faster time-to-value for new sellers.
  • Create and maintain a disciplined referral strategy to generate future opportunities.
  • Work with channel partners to produce a steady stream of high-quality referrals.
  • Build deep knowledge of key verticals such as restaurants, retail, and services to tailor sales conversations.
  • Manage activity, pipeline, and forecasting in Salesforce with strong operational rigor.
  • Consistently exceed quota and improve performance in a high-accountability environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of full-cycle sales experience, including field sales.
  • Experience exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals across a diverse product ecosystem.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Business development experience, including hunting and cold calling.
  • Must live in the market being served and have reliable transportation.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent CRM experience.
  • 2+ years of payment processing experience or related technology experience preferred, such as payroll, loyalty, or time management.
  • 1+ years of experience selling to or working in restaurants, retail, or service-based businesses preferred.
