Description

  • Spend about 80% of the week in the field meeting local businesses and driving 50–60 targeted visits each week.
  • Own a full-cycle, self-sourced sales motion from lead generation through demoing and closing deals.
  • Build trust-based relationships with sellers and serve as the go-to Square expert in the territory.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support smooth onboarding and faster time-to-value for new customers.
  • Develop a repeatable top-of-funnel pipeline through outreach, community engagement, events, networking, and partnerships.
  • Work with channel partners to generate a consistent stream of high-quality referrals.
  • Develop deep expertise in key verticals such as restaurants, retail, and services to diagnose needs and recommend solutions.
  • Sell consultatively and competitively throughout the sales cycle.
  • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and forecasting records in Salesforce.
  • Measure performance regularly and consistently work to exceed quota.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role with field sales experience.
  • Experience exceeding sales targets, selling a diverse ecosystem of products, and closing complex deals.
  • Ability to independently drive deals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Business development experience, including hunting and cold calling.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to live in the market being served, since this is a field role.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent CRM experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in payment processing or related technology such as payroll, loyalty, or time management, preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience working in or selling to restaurants, retailers, or services-based businesses, preferred.
