Description

  • Spend about 80% of the week in the field visiting businesses, conducting live demos, and closing deals.
  • Run a full-cycle, self-sourced sales process from lead generation through closing.
  • Build pipeline from the ground up through door-to-door outreach, community engagement, events, networking, and partnerships.
  • Develop strong relationships with local sellers and serve as a trusted Square expert in the market.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support onboarding and help new sellers reach value quickly.
  • Implement and maintain a disciplined referral strategy to generate future opportunities.
  • Build and manage channel partnerships that produce a consistent referral stream.
  • Develop expertise in key verticals such as restaurants, retail, and services to position the right solutions.
  • Maintain accurate activity tracking, pipeline management, and forecasting in Salesforce.
  • Consistently measure performance, improve execution, and exceed quota in a high-accountability environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role with field sales experience.
  • Experience exceeding sales targets, selling a diverse ecosystem of products, and closing complex deals.
  • Ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Business development experience, including hunting and cold calling.
  • Must live in the market being served and have reliable transportation, since this is a field-based role.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mentality.
  • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent CRM experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in payment processing or related technology, such as payroll, loyalty, or time management, preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience working in or selling to restaurants, retail, or services-based businesses, preferred.
