Description

  • Spend about 80% of the week in the field engaging local businesses and completing 50–60 targeted visits each week.
  • Run a full-cycle sales process from lead generation and discovery through demos and deal closing across Square’s product suite.
  • Build trust-based relationships with local sellers and serve as Square’s go-to expert in the market.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support smooth onboarding and faster time-to-value for new sellers.
  • Develop and execute a referral strategy to create future sales opportunities from new customers.
  • Create a repeatable top-of-funnel pipeline through door-to-door outreach, community engagement, events, networking, and partnerships.
  • Work with channel partners to generate a consistent stream of high-quality referrals.
  • Build deep knowledge of key verticals such as restaurants, retail, and services to tailor solutions to customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce activity, pipeline, and forecasting records.
  • Track performance closely, improve continuously, and consistently work toward exceeding quota.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role with field sales experience.
  • Experience exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals across a diverse product ecosystem.
  • Ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Business development experience, including hunting and cold calling.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to live in the market being served, since this is a field position.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent CRM experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in payment processing or related technology, such as payroll, loyalty, or time management, preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience selling to or working in restaurants, retail, or services-based businesses, preferred.
