Description

  • Spend most of the week in the field meeting local businesses, conducting live demos, and driving new sales opportunities.
  • Run a full-cycle, self-sourced sales process from lead generation through discovery, demo, negotiation, and close.
  • Build trusted relationships with sellers and serve as the local Square expert in the territory.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support smooth onboarding and faster time to value for new customers.
  • Develop pipeline through door-to-door outreach, community engagement, events, networking, and targeted partnerships.
  • Work with channel partners to create a consistent referral stream and new business opportunities.
  • Build deep knowledge of key verticals such as restaurants, retail, and services to identify needs and recommend solutions.
  • Track activity, manage pipeline, and forecast accurately in Salesforce or an equivalent CRM.
  • Maintain strong operational discipline, measure performance regularly, and consistently work toward quota attainment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role with field sales experience.
  • Experience exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals across a diverse product ecosystem.
  • Ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Business development experience, including hunting and cold calling.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to live in the market being served.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent CRM experience.
  • 2+ years of payment processing experience or related technology experience, such as payroll, loyalty, or time management, preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience working in or selling to restaurants, retailers, or services-based businesses, preferred.

  • Starting pay ranges from $148,700 to $223,100 in Zone A, $138,300 to $207,500 in Zone B, $130,900 to $196,300 in Zone C, and $123,400 to $185,200 in Zone D, including target variable compensation.
