Description

  • Spend most of the week in the field engaging local businesses and conducting targeted visits across the territory.
  • Generate leads, identify customer needs, deliver live demos, and close full-cycle sales across Square’s product suite.
  • Build trust-based relationships with local sellers and serve as the primary Square expert in the market.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support smooth onboarding and faster time to value for new customers.
  • Develop a repeatable top-of-funnel pipeline through outreach, community engagement, events, networking, and partnerships.
  • Work with channel partners to create a steady stream of high-quality referrals.
  • Build deep knowledge of key verticals such as restaurants, retail, and services to tailor solutions effectively.
  • Sell consultatively and competitively throughout the sales cycle.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records, pipeline management, and forecasting.
  • Track performance, improve continuously, and consistently work toward exceeding quota.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role with field sales experience.
  • Experience exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals across a diverse product ecosystem.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Business development experience, including hunting and cold calling.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to live in the market being served.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent CRM experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in payment processing or related technology, such as payroll, loyalty, or time management, preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience selling to or working with restaurants, retailers, or services-based businesses, preferred.
