Description

  • Spend about 80% of the week in the field meeting local businesses, conducting live demos, and driving 50–60 targeted visits per week.
  • Run a full-cycle sales process from lead generation and discovery through demonstration and closing.
  • Build trust-based relationships with local sellers and serve as the go-to Square expert in the territory.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support a seamless onboarding experience and faster time-to-value for new customers.
  • Develop a repeatable top-of-funnel pipeline through door-to-door outreach, community engagement, events, networking, and partnerships.
  • Work with channel partners to generate a consistent referral stream.
  • Build deep knowledge of key verticals such as restaurants, retail, and services to identify needs and position the right solutions.
  • Sell consultatively and competitively while managing deals independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and forecasting records in Salesforce.
  • Measure performance regularly and consistently exceed quota in a high-accountability culture.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role with field sales experience.
  • Proven experience exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals across a diverse product ecosystem.
  • Ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Business development experience, including hunting and cold calling.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to live in the market being served.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent CRM experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in payment processing or related technology such as payroll, loyalty, or time management (preferred).
  • 1+ years of experience selling to or working in restaurants, retail, or services businesses (preferred).
