Description

  • Evaluate and present Square’s value proposition to SMB merchants in the UK.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding.
  • Build and manage pipeline activity to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Use a consultative approach to understand customer needs and guide sales conversations.
  • Work with Product and Marketing to address the needs of the UK market.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to share wins and identify improvements.
  • Develop and execute a creative pipeline strategy based on prior sales experience.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience in a qualifying or prospecting role.
  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience or interest in supporting SMB sellers.
  • Understanding of value-selling principles.
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to assess business opportunities and evaluate prospective buyers with structured thinking.
  • Ability to gain support from internal experts and external partners to position Square competitively.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for email and phone outreach.
  • Business development experience, including hunting and cold calling.
  • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent CRM experience.
  • Tenacity, adaptability, and ability to think quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Interest in seeking feedback and improving your craft.
  • Genuine curiosity about people and business.
