Description

  • Lead a distributed team of Strategic Account Managers within the mid-market segment.
  • Direct revenue retention and logo retention across the team’s portfolio.
  • Provide 1:1 coaching, feedback, and performance management to Account Managers.
  • Serve as an escalation point for customer issues and meet with customers in person on a regular basis.
  • Partner with product teams to represent the voice of the customer and support upmarket services initiatives.
  • Develop operationally efficient, repeatable processes to support team performance.
  • Identify, build, and improve training programs for Account Managers.
  • Influence go-to-market product initiatives and the tooling needed for team success.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and collaboration across the broader organization.
  • Support portfolio growth through data-driven team management and internal advocacy for customers.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of total experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management.
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing metrics-driven, customer-facing teams at a high-growth technology company.
  • Recent experience leading high-performing teams in the mid-market segment.
  • Proven success serving as a player-coach for a portfolio.
  • Experience identifying opportunities and independently developing action plans on behalf of a team.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product teams to serve as the voice of the customer.
  • Experience serving as a senior escalation point for customers and resolving complex challenges.
  • Experience managing teams with high-volume books of business and driving efficiency.
  • Excellent written communication for internal and external audiences, including senior stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Starting salary range of $217,800-$326,800 in Zone A, $202,600-$303,800 in Zone B, $191,700-$287,500 in Zone C, or $185,200-$277,800 in Zone D, including target variable compensation.
