Description

  • Collect field data to support project completion across ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
  • Locate boundary markers, pins, improvements, utilities, and other survey features in the field.
  • Check, reduce, and process raw field data, including calculations and downloading or filing survey data.
  • Perform project research as needed to support survey work.
  • Follow instructions and work orders from project managers.
  • Communicate daily with the Field Project Manager regarding schedule status and any delays or early completion.
  • Work safely in rugged terrain and challenging outdoor conditions.
  • Transport and handle heavy survey equipment across job sites.
  • Maintain survey equipment and troubleshoot field issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
  • Strong understanding of surveying concepts and practices.
  • Proficiency with survey equipment, including total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
  • Part 107 license preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, especially Carlson AutoCAD, is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
  • Ability to travel regionally and nationally, often.
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends as needed.
