Description

  • Define and own the financial systems strategy and roadmap across ERP, sub-ledgers, reporting, reconciliation, and automation platforms.
  • Build, lead, and develop a lean Financial Systems team, including hiring, performance management, mentoring, and career development.
  • Prioritize team capacity and balance operational support with finance transformation projects.
  • Identify manual finance processes, design automation solutions, and oversee delivery from prototype through production.
  • Own ERP integrations, data models, customizations, platform strategy, and upgrade planning.
  • Drive adoption of AI and automation, including LLM workflows, RPA, copilots, anomaly detection, and automated journal-entry generation.
  • Build scalable data pipelines connecting finance systems, warehouses, and BI tools.
  • Partner with Finance and Engineering leadership to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Maintain system controls, audit readiness, data integrity, and SOX/compliance requirements.
  • Manage vendors, evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, and oversee UAT governance and release management.

Requirements

  • 12–15+ years of experience across finance operations, financial systems, and technology leadership, ideally in FinTech, financial services, or fast-paced technology environments.
  • Deep ERP expertise with NetSuite, SAP, or Workday, including integrations, data migrations, and platform strategy.
  • Track record leading finance transformation programs, such as automation, system consolidation, or greenfield implementations.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Python, SQL, and/or VBA and experience prototyping solutions.
  • Experience deploying AI/ML or RPA in production finance environments, including journal-entry automation, reconciliation, anomaly detection, or reporting.
  • Experience hiring and leading lean, high-performing teams in resource-constrained environments.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX/compliance, and financial-system audit requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder-management skills, including influencing CFO-level leaders and partnering with Engineering.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and rapid change, with a bias toward action and building.
  • Interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
