Description

  • Transcribe physician-patient encounters into electronic health records with accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and correct documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Update patient records promptly to keep electronic health records current and compliant.
  • Relay messages, orders, and instructions between physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Assist physicians in real time by retrieving patient information, documenting procedures, and entering orders as directed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to support accurate documentation and continuity of care.
  • Follow established workflows, protocols, and procedures for documentation and communication.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements when handling medical information.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a medical scribe or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute.
  • Proficiency with virtual office tools, EHR systems, and communication platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work in US time zones, including PST, EST, and CST.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable internet with at least 25 Mbps, plus a backup connection.
  • Intel Core i5 7th Generation or equivalent processor, 8 GB RAM, and at least 256 GB storage with 50% free space.
  • 720p webcam, Windows 10 or later, and noise-canceling earphones or headset.
  • Designated quiet and organized workspace free from distractions.
