Description

  • Create and execute territory plans and effective travel plans for an assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain agency relationships to position BHHC as the market of choice.
  • Identify and pursue new agency appointments, prospect meetings, book transfer opportunities, and additional production sources.
  • Monitor agency growth, profitability, performance gaps, trends, and production barriers.
  • Develop agency profit improvement and growth plans that support profitable business and minimum premium standards.
  • Conduct in-person agency visits, prospect meetings, claims reviews, stewardship meetings, and other relationship-building activities.
  • Partner with Underwriting, Client Services, Loss Control, Marketing, and IT to improve quoting, service, and ease of doing business.
  • Research competitor activity and territory opportunities, then create action plans based on market intelligence.
  • Maintain accurate producer profiles, business plans, agency files, contact records, and required reports.
  • Participate in internal and external committees, insurance events, conferences, and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in workers compensation insurance is required for Mid-Level roles.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in workers compensation insurance is required for Senior-Level roles.
  • Preferably have experience in a Marketing or Underwriting role.
  • Ability to read and interpret business publications, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to present information effectively to management and public groups.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn proprietary and vendor software applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, planning, prioritization, and judgment skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Frequent travel within the assigned territory is required.
