Description

  • Create and execute territory plans and travel plans that reflect a clear understanding of the market.
  • Align with regional resources to assess territorial differences in opportunity and profit potential.
  • Develop business development and brand strategy to position BHHC as the market of choice with agents and target markets.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new agency appointments, prospect meetings, book transfer opportunities, and additional production sources.
  • Monitor agency growth, profitability, performance gaps, trends, and issues, and develop profit improvement and growth plans.
  • Manage agency partnerships to meet minimum premium standards and growth goals, and process appointments and terminations in a timely manner.
  • Lead renewal strategy discussions and conduct in-person agency visits, prospect meetings, claims reviews, meet-and-greets, and stewardship meetings.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Client Services, Loss Control, Marketing, and IT to support quotes, improve ease of doing business, and strengthen customer experience.
  • Gather and analyze competitor information and create action plans based on market intelligence.
  • Maintain accurate producer profiles, business plans, agency files, contacts, and required reports and documentation.
  • Participate in internal committees, external insurance committees, industry conferences, and approved charity events.
  • Support special assignments and projects and serve as a resource to peers, brokers, and others on workers’ compensation and insurance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in the workers’ compensation insurance industry is required for Mid-Level consideration.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in the workers’ compensation insurance industry is required for Senior-Level consideration.
  • Previous insurance experience is required.
  • Experience in a Marketing or Underwriting role is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to present information effectively to management and public groups.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn proprietary and vendor software applications.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, planning, and prioritization skills are desired.
