Description

  • Participate in and lead the full biosignal algorithm development lifecycle for medical devices, from requirements gathering through production and maintenance.
  • Select, implement, and adapt the most appropriate modeling approach for each problem, including deep learning when it is the best fit.
  • Enhance internal machine learning and deep learning tools to improve team efficiency and enable rapid experimentation.
  • Introduce new model architectures and algorithmic techniques while improving code reusability.
  • Apply best practices for testing, documentation, CI, and non-regression testing to algorithm implementations.
  • Present technical results to stakeholders and help them use algorithms for client engagement.
  • Support client-facing projects and help shape the impact of Beacon’s algorithms for customers.
  • Work with data scientists, neuroscientists, engineers, and clinicians on biosignal data analysis and model development.

Requirements

  • More than 4 years of industry experience in machine learning and deep learning, ideally in health sciences or other regulated fields.
  • Proven experience bringing algorithms into production.
  • Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) and statistics.
  • Proficiency with PyTorch preferred, or another deep learning framework.
  • Familiarity with recent deep learning advances such as Transformers, ViTs, and large-scale model training.
  • Experience with software and ML engineering best practices, including testing, version control, code reviews, documentation, Docker, CI/CD, and experiment tracking.
  • Familiarity with biosignals, medical imaging data, or large time-series datasets, or enthusiasm to learn the domain.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to different audiences.
  • Interest in participating in the full algorithm development lifecycle, including validation, regulatory documentation, deployment, and client collaboration.
