Description

  • Partner with product engineering teams to understand their needs and deliver platform solutions that accelerate development.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of platform services from design and implementation through testing, rollout, adoption, and iteration.
  • Build and maintain shared libraries, SDKs, and internal APIs, along with documentation and examples that support adoption.
  • Design and implement APIs, data models, and integration patterns for core platform domains.
  • Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of Athena EMR integrations and other clinical data synchronization workflows.
  • Design caching strategies and invalidation patterns to improve performance and reduce external API dependencies.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions so teams can build new experiences efficiently and avoid duplicating work.
  • Write well-tested code and add meaningful unit and integration tests.
  • Instrument services with monitoring and analytics and investigate performance bottlenecks and issues.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • ~5+ years of professional software engineering experience building backend or platform systems in production environments.
  • Experience owning and shipping services, integrations, or infrastructure in a modern stack.
  • Experience building and maintaining integrations with external systems and third-party APIs.
  • Strong backend skills in API and schema design, data modeling, and resilient system integrations.
  • Proficiency with TypeScript and Node.
  • Experience with caching technologies such as Redis and relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with at least one cloud provider, ideally Google Cloud Platform.
  • Solid systems design instincts around reliability, performance, and security.
  • Comfort debugging across logs, traces, metrics, and data.
  • Experience in healthcare, digital health, or other regulated domains such as HIPAA, PHI, or SOC 2 is preferred.
  • Exposure to EHRs, wearables integrations, or other health data platforms is preferred.
  • Experience building developer-facing tooling, SDKs, or internal platforms is preferred.

Benefits

  • Compensation of $190,000 to $250,000 based on location.
  • Hybrid role based in New York City.
  • Three days per week in the office, Tuesday through Thursday.
  • Travel to other Atria locations as needed.
