Description

  • Write engaging educational content, including video scripts, assessments, and text lessons.
  • Turn curriculum documents into practical course and lesson plans that support teachers and student success.
  • Break down complex Biology syllabus points into clear, student-friendly explanations.
  • Develop content that is accurate, useful, and tailored to learner needs.
  • Keep subject knowledge current by staying up to date with Biology content and evidence-based teaching strategies.
  • Follow a detailed style guide to ensure consistency and audience fit across all content.
  • Manage multiple projects, prioritise work, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Visual Content Designers, Subject Team Leads, and other team members to deliver on-brand content.
  • Share ideas and contribute to process improvements through feedback, workshops, and team discussions.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of secondary school Biology, with HSC or VCE experience required.
  • Previous experience with either the Biology HSC or VCE curriculum.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas.
  • A solid understanding of how to create content that works for students.
  • Passion for education and learning design.
  • Comfort working collaboratively and explaining your thinking clearly.
  • Confidence using project management tools, or willingness to learn them.
  • Demonstrated success in Biology, either as a teacher or a student.
  • Teaching or tutoring experience is a bonus.
  • Interest in learning design is preferred, with training available for those new to it.
  • Australian working rights are required.
  • Expected start date is early August.
  • Fixed-term 13-month contract.
