Description

  • Develop and refine 6-12 CS and AI curriculum end to end, including lessons, progressions, on-platform activities, teacher and student resources, and assessments.
  • Design learning experiences that help students understand, use, and critically evaluate AI.
  • Use AI tools to speed up and strengthen curriculum development while maintaining accuracy and pedagogical quality.
  • Ground lessons in research-based, culturally responsive, student-centered pedagogy.
  • Iterate on curriculum using feedback from peers, teachers, students, subject-matter experts, and classroom observations.
  • Analyze student engagement and learning data to improve content and meet engagement and learning goals.
  • Collaborate with other curriculum developers and provide feedback on their work.
  • Partner cross-functionally with professional learning content developers, software engineers, and others on product development.
  • Stay current on CS and AI content, pedagogy, and best practices, and share learnings through presentations and field contributions.
  • At the senior level, lead larger or more ambiguous curriculum efforts, mentor others, and review content developers’ work.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of experience in CS and AI education, ideally including recent classroom teaching experience.
  • Fluency reading and programming in one or more text-based languages, such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
  • Strong knowledge of CS and AI concepts in the 6-12 grade bands of the CSTA standards and the AI Literacy Framework.
  • Experience developing CS and AI curriculum used beyond a single classroom, including multi-week sequences and backward design.
  • Comfort and curiosity using AI tools in your work, with interest in teaching both with and about AI.
  • Experience applying research-based, culturally responsive, student-centered pedagogy to diverse learners and teaching environments.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize feedback and data from multiple sources to refine curriculum.
  • Track record of managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality work on time and within scope with minimal supervision.
  • Strong collaboration skills and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with CodeAI curriculum and/or other CS education products.
  • Passion for CS and AI education and the CodeAI mission.
  • Preferred: experience developing AI-focused curriculum or learning products.
  • Preferred: experience developing or delivering online learning experiences for grades 6-12.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must work within the continental United States.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must be willing to travel at least two times per year for team events.

  • Expected salary range of $88,200 to $111,000.
