Description

  • Own the technical vision and architecture for shared, multi-tenant technology platforms.
  • Design and validate Azure-based solutions through focused, time-boxed architectural spikes.
  • Decompose complex and ambiguous initiatives into scoped, delegable work for engineering teams.
  • Partner with Engineering, Cloud Operations, business stakeholders, and account teams to align platform solutions with client and operational needs.
  • Improve platform reliability, security posture, monitoring, telemetry, and observability.
  • Establish reusable architectural patterns and evaluate AI-assisted development practices.
  • Mentor engineers on Azure architecture best practices and serve as the platform’s technical authority.
  • Document architectural findings and provide clear handoffs to engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of cloud engineering and architecture experience.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including monitoring, automation, and platform services.
  • Experience designing cloud solutions and validating approaches through focused technical spikes.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using Bicep or Terraform.
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell and Python.
  • Ability to break down complex work and lead delivery through others.
  • Strong written and spoken English with confidence communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL.
  • Experience supporting multiple clients or tenants from a shared platform (preferred).
  • Familiarity with managed-cloud security and compliance frameworks, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, and relevant Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred).
