Description

  • Own day-to-day delivery across multiple provider engagements, including scopes, timelines, workplans, deliverables, and client communications.
  • Translate complex policy, reimbursement, and business model information into actionable recommendations for provider executives, boards, and operating teams.
  • Produce client-ready deliverables such as strategic plans, policy briefs, market assessments, financial models, PowerPoint presentations, and written materials.
  • Present findings and recommendations directly to clients and facilitate working sessions and workshops with provider leadership.
  • Ramp quickly onto new engagements with limited oversight and bring structure and ownership to ambiguous problems.
  • Analyze legislation, regulations, and payment policy to assess business, financial, strategic, and operational impacts for provider clients.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including market scans, competitive landscape analyses, financial modeling, business case development, and strategic growth planning.
  • Synthesize data into strategic insights, develop analytic frameworks, identify trends, and analyze large healthcare datasets when applicable.
  • Monitor market, regulatory, and policy developments to keep recommendations timely and relevant.
  • Contribute to proposals, scoping conversations, and business development efforts for new provider engagements.
  • Shape thought leadership through publications, conference presentations, and commentary on provider strategy, policy, and market trends.
  • Mentor and develop analysts and junior team members while modeling strong consulting and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, government healthcare programs, corporate strategy, or healthcare provider/value-based care organizations.
  • Demonstrated growth into engagement leadership.
  • Depth in one or more healthcare areas such as Traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage, value-based care, PACE, complex care, long-term care, or provider strategy and operations.
  • Strong consulting craft, including structured problem-solving, hypothesis-driven analysis, and polished written and visual communication.
  • Proven ability to perform market research, competitive analysis, financial modeling, business case development, and strategic growth planning.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with comfort working with data and developing models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to senior executives and clients.
  • Ability to lead tasks, design and execute projects end-to-end, manage up and down effectively, and mentor junior team members.
  • High professional maturity, initiative, resourcefulness, ownership, and the ability to come up quickly on unfamiliar topics.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Preferred: management consulting background at a top-tier firm or equivalent experience in government healthcare programs.
  • Preferred: direct experience working with healthcare providers on strategic, operational, or value-based payment initiatives.
  • Preferred: exposure to value-based care models, managed care operations, technology and solution partners/vendors, drug reimbursement and pricing policy, or financial services intersecting with healthcare.
  • Preferred: experience working with large healthcare datasets, including cleaning, managing, and analyzing complex sources.
  • Preferred: technology strategy experience, including business and technical requirements gathering, gap analysis, system selection, and implementation.
  • Preferred: MBA or other advanced degree in a business-oriented discipline such as management-focused MPH, MPA/MPP, MHA, MS in Health Administration, economics, or a related field.
