Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS, Azure, and containerization technologies.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes to move data from multiple sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure data flows seamlessly across teams.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval performance using cloud data services and related technologies.
  • Use Docker and Kubernetes to support deployment, scalability, and management of data pipelines.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data processing pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Automate manual data processing tasks and implement data validation and monitoring systems to improve data quality.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data workflow automation and deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy requirements across data systems.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain best practices and documentation for data engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with hands-on experience building and managing data pipelines.
  • Excellent verbal English communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency with AWS technologies such as S3, Redshift, and Glue.
  • Strong proficiency with Azure technologies such as Data Lake and Azure Synapse.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
  • Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Databricks, or similar tools.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or DBT.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Preferred experience with data governance and security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Preferred experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Preferred experience working with machine learning and analytics tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Preferred knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Previous experience working in agile development teams is a plus.
