Description

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient server-side applications and APIs.
  • Optimize backend systems to handle high traffic and large datasets.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Design and maintain databases that support application requirements.
  • Optimize database queries to minimize latency.
  • Integrate with external services such as payment gateways, messaging platforms, and other APIs.
  • Build and maintain RESTful, SOAP, or GraphQL APIs for frontend and third-party integrations.
  • Review code from peers and junior developers to ensure quality and standards compliance.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced developers.
  • Contribute to technical discussions and decisions on tools, frameworks, and architecture.
  • Implement security best practices to protect systems from common vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and QA engineers to deliver features and resolve issues.
  • Align backend functionality with business requirements and customer needs.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation for systems and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly.
  • Stay current with new technologies, frameworks, and backend development methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of solid Java development experience with strong core Java and object-oriented programming knowledge.
  • Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
  • Strong knowledge of ORM frameworks such as Hibernate; SAP Commerce ORM experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with SOAP, REST, gRPC, and GraphQL.
  • In-depth knowledge of relational databases, particularly MySQL.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience using Git for version control.
  • Knowledge of design patterns and their application in eCommerce solutions.
  • Experience integrating third-party services such as payment gateways and shipping providers.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to bridge business strategy and technical execution.
  • Nice to have: 1+ years of SAP Commerce (Hybris) experience with knowledge of core architecture, platform customizations, and implementation principles.
  • Nice to have: Experience with high-volume data pipelines or event-driven sagas.
  • Nice to have: Experience building solutions across web and mobile platforms.
