Description

  • Lead and mentor a small software engineering team, setting performance expectations and supporting individual development.
  • Promote a positive team culture and uphold engineering team performance and morale.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Software Engineering and other leaders to define and improve tools, techniques, and practices.
  • Ensure engineering standards, collaboration practices, operational processes, and architectural principles are followed.
  • Communicate sprint timing or deliverable risks promptly to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Maintain scrum master duties and oversee the team’s sprint backlog execution.
  • Keep the team aligned to the software engineering roadmap and support timely sprint delivery.
  • Ensure on-call rotation coverage is maintained and executed.
  • Oversee incident management, change management, security, and issue escalation procedures.
  • Prepare and conduct performance reviews, including coaching and accountability conversations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent documented experience is required.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience in software engineering, including leading a team.
  • 6+ years of experience in problem resolution, issue remediation, and IT deployments.
  • 6+ years of experience working with business leaders on a daily or weekly basis.
  • 4+ years of experience conducting merit reviews and compensation management.
  • 6+ years of hands-on software development or engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with formal project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • 2+ years of experience in tactical planning.
  • Demonstrated understanding of scalable technology architectures.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Salesforce.com CRM platform.
  • Experience developing with Apex, Flows, Lightning components, and third-party integrations using platform events.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA and TFS is preferred.
