Description

  • Own a book of enterprise accounts and lead customers through the full sales cycle from prospecting to initial production rollout.
  • Generate pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting, conferences, exclusive events, and warm introductions.
  • Create personalized outbound communications such as custom benchmarks, competitive insights, and use-case-specific demos.
  • Develop champions within target accounts who can advocate for AssemblyAI internally and help close deals.
  • Engage senior technical and business stakeholders, including CTOs, CPOs, VPs of Engineering, and VPs of Product, to build consensus.
  • Position AssemblyAI’s value and pricing against alternatives using quantitative and qualitative differentiation.
  • Drive deal urgency and keep complex opportunities moving forward.
  • Quarterback multi-threaded enterprise deals and bring insights and momentum to customer interactions.
  • Partner with Customer and Technology teams to represent the enterprise customer voice and inform go-to-market strategy.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of enterprise infrastructure or API sales experience closing large deals with engineering and product audiences.
  • Proven ability to build pipeline from scratch and break into cold accounts.
  • Technical fluency to discuss API architectures, model accuracy tradeoffs, and deployment options with engineers and technical decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated success developing internal champions within target accounts.
  • High sense of urgency and ownership, with the ability to prevent deals from stalling.
  • Comfort selling in a product-led motion where the product wins on performance and developer experience.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise procurement, legal, and security review processes.
  • Willingness to travel 50%+ of each month for customer visits, industry events, and team offsites.
  • Experience working with enterprise infrastructure or API products is required; familiarity with voice AI is implied but not explicitly required.

  • Expected total compensation of $300,000 - $370,000, including base salary and commission.
