Description

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing new business within an assigned UK territory.
  • Generate new opportunities through outbound calling, networking, and follow-up of marketing-qualified leads.
  • Build an understanding of prospect requirements by engaging multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Deliver tailored on-site and online software demonstrations to different audiences.
  • Prepare accurate proposals and pricing, and negotiate deals to maximise margin.
  • Hand off signed deals to the project management team for implementation.
  • Maintain an accurate, well-structured pipeline and CRM records, including contacts, notes, and next actions.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline reports to the Managing Director.
  • Share market intelligence on prospect needs and competitor activity with the business.
  • Manage a small portfolio of existing accounts, hold regular review meetings, and identify upsell opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven B2B field sales experience with a track record of independent prospecting and hitting targets.
  • Comfortable selling technology, with software, SaaS, or EPOS/payments experience as a strong advantage.
  • Confident communicator who can present effectively by phone, in person, and to groups of stakeholders.
  • Self-starter who thrives with autonomy, is target-driven, and remains resilient when the pipeline is challenging.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to listen well and develop trust with prospects and clients.
  • Strong numeracy and the ability to build, present, and defend pricing and margins clearly.
  • Highly organised with disciplined CRM hygiene and accurate pipeline management.
  • Experience or knowledge of Charity Retail, Furniture Reuse, Caravan, or Marine sectors is desirable.
  • Familiarity with retail technology, POS systems, or payment solutions is desirable.
  • Formal sales qualification such as SPIN, Challenger, or similar is desirable.
