Description

  • Build secure, high-scale cloud applications using Go, Node.js, and other modern languages.
  • Collaborate with a squad of engineers to own and deliver one of Array’s product sets.
  • Help ensure system reliability and availability by participating in an on-call rotation.
  • Conceptualize and deliver software solutions with support from Principal Engineers and Engineering Managers.
  • Work primarily on building solutions and shipping features rather than on process overhead.
  • Apply modern tooling, including AI-assisted tools, to accelerate development and reduce toil.
  • Contribute to RESTful APIs, microservices, cloud technologies, and databases.
  • Support the engineering team in solving major technical problems and challenges.
  • Participate in engineering interviews and team processes as needed.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience in Go, C#, or Java in a fast-paced environment.
  • 4+ years of experience building and scaling a revenue-generating product.
  • 2+ years of experience running production applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience securing internet-facing applications with high-value data in cloud-scale environments.
  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with relational and document databases such as Postgres, SQL Server, and MongoDB.
  • Forward-looking approach to using Generative AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and custom LLM agents.
  • Strong working knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, cloud technologies, and databases.
  • Ability to work fully remote; candidates located in Chicago, IL are prioritized.
  • Contract role for a 180-day probationary period before converting full time.
