Description

  • Execute functional testing of web application features and document defects with clear reproduction steps, severity, and expected versus actual results.
  • Build, maintain, and expand automated regression test suites using Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium with Cucumber/Gherkin BDD patterns.
  • Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI pipelines to provide continuous feedback and maintain reliable quality gates.
  • Create and maintain automated API test collections using Postman and Rest Assured to validate microservice endpoints and integrations.
  • Perform digital accessibility evaluations using automated tools and manual screen reader testing to assess WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 compliance.
  • Document accessibility findings with specific WCAG references and actionable remediation guidance for developers.
  • Execute load and performance testing using NeoLoad, JMeter, or equivalent tools before production releases.
  • Maintain test plans, test cases, and test evidence in Confluence and Jira for sprint reviews.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams during backlog refinement and Agile ceremonies to ensure stories are testable and acceptance criteria are clear.
  • Support production triage, diagnose issues, verify fixes, and contribute to test strategy and framework improvements.

Requirements

  • 3 years of applicable experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 3 additional years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, including writing and maintaining test scripts in Java and/or JavaScript.
  • 1+ years of experience with Playwright for end-to-end browser automation, cross-browser configuration, and CI pipeline integration.
  • DHS Trusted Tester certification, or willingness to obtain it within the first 3 months of employment.
  • Experience applying the Trusted Tester conformance test process for Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance on web applications.
  • 1+ years of experience with performance and load testing tools such as NeoLoad or JMeter.
  • Experience writing BDD test scenarios using Cucumber/Gherkin syntax and implementing step definitions.
  • Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman and Rest Assured.
  • Working knowledge of digital accessibility testing, including WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and tools such as aXe, pa11y, WAVE, or ANDI.
  • Experience with manual screen reader testing using JAWS or NVDA.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, with GitLab CI preferred, and strong defect documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and familiarity with Agile tools and environments such as Jira, Confluence, Scrum, or SAFe are preferred.
  • Preferred certifications include ISTQB and IAAP credentials such as WAS, CPACC, or CPWA.
  • Preferred experience includes testing cloud-native AWS applications, microservices, container-based deployments, federal identity or payment integrations, and Angular responsive web applications.
