Description

  • Execute functional testing of web application features and document defects with clear reproduction steps and severity.
  • Build, maintain, and expand automated regression test suites using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, and BDD patterns.
  • Create and maintain automated API test collections to validate service endpoints, contracts, and integrations.
  • Perform digital accessibility evaluations using automated tools and manual screen reader testing against WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 standards.
  • Document accessibility findings with WCAG success criteria references and actionable remediation guidance.
  • Execute load and performance tests to validate response times, throughput, and error rates before releases.
  • Maintain test plans and test cases in Confluence linked to Jira stories, with evidence for sprint reviews.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to define acceptance criteria and ensure stories are testable.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies within a SAFe framework, including planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives, and refinement.
  • Support production triage, diagnose issues, verify fixes, and improve test strategy and automation frameworks.

Requirements

  • 3 years of applicable experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 3 additional years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, with the ability to write and maintain test scripts in Java and/or JavaScript.
  • 1+ years of experience with Playwright for end-to-end browser automation, including cross-browser configuration and CI pipeline integration.
  • DHS Trusted Tester certification, or willingness to obtain it within the first 3 months of employment.
  • Experience applying the Trusted Tester conformance test process for Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
  • 1+ years of experience with performance and load testing tools such as NeoLoad or JMeter.
  • Experience writing BDD test scenarios using Cucumber/Gherkin syntax and implementing step definitions.
  • Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman and Rest Assured.
  • Working knowledge of digital accessibility testing, including WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and tools such as aXe, pa11y, WAVE, or ANDI.
  • Experience with manual screen reader testing using JAWS or NVDA.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI.
  • Strong defect documentation skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with SonarQube, Jira, and Confluence is preferred.
  • ISTQB certification, IAAP certification, federal government experience, AWS testing experience, microservices knowledge, and Angular responsive web testing experience are preferred.
