Description

  • Advise customers on the technical design, architecture, and implementation of Appian solutions in private cloud, on-premise, or government cloud environments.
  • Support the sales cycle by creating differentiated solution proposals and delivery roadmaps.
  • Present integrated solutions and complex technical concepts to customers and other audiences.
  • Support configuration, testing, deployment, and operations of Appian applications using agile delivery methods and Appian best practices.
  • Guide clients on development practices, program management, governance, version control, configuration management, DevSecOps, and infrastructure automation.
  • Lead the definition and development of Customer Success offerings and innovations.
  • Collect technical challenges across architects and turn them into common best practices and solutions.
  • Support whitepapers, pre-sales solutioning, and proposal development and review.
  • Advise DoW customers on Appian as an agility layer that integrates mission and business processes across existing systems of record.
  • Design Appian-based architectures for modernization initiatives spanning workflows, case management, process automation, and data orchestration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience advising customers on government cloud computing platform design and implementation.
  • At least 10 years of experience in multi-tier application design and architecture.
  • Experience architecting secure cloud hosting solutions for federal customers using AWS, GCP, and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Leadership experience designing, architecting, or delivering enterprise-level cloud environments such as C2S, JWICS, or GovCloud.
  • Experience authoring federal proposals and whitepapers.
  • Deep experience managing federal programs and projects and leading IT delivery with Scrum and SAFe.
  • Experience accelerating IT solutions under the federal government's Risk Management Framework is preferred.
  • Experience designing and implementing DevSecOps pipelines and infrastructure automation frameworks using Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Cucumber, JMeter, and Fitnesse is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 10-15%, including to customer engagements in SCIFs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to guide enterprise architecture teams during solution design and implementation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify creative solutions.
  • Ability to create market offerings and formulate corporate capabilities and intellectual property.
  • Certified Scrum Master or other agile certification required.
  • AWS, Google, or Azure certifications are a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a U.S. government public trust and/or DoD clearance; TS/SCI with CI Poly is strongly preferred.
