Description

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to prospects and existing customers by analyzing product gaps and developing solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic clients and align client roadmaps with the Smile product roadmap.
  • Lead customers through the buying journey by understanding needs, pain points, and solution fit.
  • Provide scoping support, sandbox environment support, and technical validation for proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define and demonstrate ROI tied to client business objectives.
  • Create high-level IT architecture specifications and design documents, and troubleshoot design issues.
  • Support the design and migration of customer data to the Smile platform.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and custom proof of concepts.
  • Support strategic customer proposals, including RFPs, RFIs, and similar solicitation documents.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering, product, and support teams, and bring customer feedback into the product organization.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, and/or customer consulting with involvement in system design or architecture.
  • Experience in healthcare, technology, or a similar industry is preferred.
  • Professional software development experience is highly preferred.
  • Significant hands-on experience in implementation and customer consulting.
  • Experience building complex technology-based systems delivered to customers at scale.
  • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through launch.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to present and influence stakeholders up to C-level/executive level.
  • Previous experience leading or contributing to strategic RFP responses.
  • Knowledge of professional software development practices and the full software development life cycle.
  • Experience supporting new hires or colleagues to improve team effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of at least one major cloud service provider and deployment patterns including CI/CD, containers, orchestration, IaaS scripting, and architecture.
  • Knowledge of modern development patterns such as microservices and scalable enterprise systems; HL7 FHIR experience is preferred but not required.
