Description

  • Work with customers post-sale to define, design, develop, and implement custom software and AI solutions on the Appian platform.
  • Partner with clients throughout the full project lifecycle to understand business processes and technical needs.
  • Build applications and launch relational data models in production.
  • Develop APIs and integrations with multiple systems.
  • Brainstorm AI use cases and implement Appian AI tools, including RAG, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative models.
  • Collaborate with client technical teams and business users across the software development lifecycle.
  • Work in an agile environment using practices such as planning sessions, stand-ups, sprints, and pair programming.
  • Help drive adoption by enabling clients to become self-sufficient in building process applications.

Requirements

  • US citizenship is required for Public Sector roles.
  • 1+ years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% annually to support customer engagement.
  • Ability to work with clients to define business processes and gather functional and technical requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, with passion for technology, continuous learning, and problem solving.
  • Experience building products using agile methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with relational databases, database design/data modeling, and SQL queries, joins, and views.
  • Knowledge of software testing practices, CI frameworks, and integrations using REST, SOAP, JDBC, and web services (preferred familiarity with AWS, AI, analytics, machine learning, Google Cloud, application integration, database, developer tools, management and governance, and elastic containers).

  • Base salary range of $75,000 to $175,000 USD.
