Description

  • Define and execute a go-to-market and sales strategy for government agencies.
  • Generate, qualify, and manage a strong sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
  • Close deals with state and local government agencies and drive product adoption.
  • Lead complex, end-to-end public sector sales cycles, including multi-department buy-in and RFP/RFI processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver contract bids, proposals, RFQ responses, and statements of work.
  • Build and maintain trusted-advisor relationships with CIOs, CTOs, and Program Directors.
  • Translate complex technical solutions into clear value propositions for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Navigate public sector procurement vehicles and funding cycles to support deal execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience selling SaaS or security solutions to state agencies.
  • Experience with network performance and security, including internet fundamentals, corporate networking, and SD-WAN.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust and SASE concepts.
  • Strong teamwork mindset and ability to sell collaboratively across functions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills for senior stakeholders.
  • High-energy, service-oriented approach with strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred experience identifying and capturing public sector funding streams such as state general funds and IIJA/SLTT federal grants.
  • Preferred ability to bring an existing book of business and high-level contacts within key state agencies.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the territory as needed.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $140,000 to $150,000.
  • Commissionable 50/50 bonus/commission plan.
  • Equity granted upon offer.
  • Remote role with preferred locations in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, or Florida.
  • Travel supported throughout the territory to meet business needs.
