Description

  • Design and implement highly scalable backend endpoints.
  • Gather product requirements and write design documents to support product needs.
  • Drive the full software development lifecycle from requirements through maintenance.
  • Mentor teammates and share best practices and technical knowledge.
  • Communicate development progress to product, engineering, and other stakeholders.
  • Introduce new technologies and ideas when needed.
  • Work effectively as part of a large global team.
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies, team meetings, and manager 1:1s.
  • Provide and receive written and verbal feedback from peers and managers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of industry experience in backend development, including 1-2 years in senior positions working on large-scale applications.
  • Experience developing distributed web applications.
  • Experience with database modeling using SQL or NoSQL.
  • Experience using and designing RESTful services.
  • Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
  • Code that is comprehensible, well-structured, and highly performant.
  • Communication skills, problem solving, proactivity, teamwork, listening skills, creativity, organization, planning, ambiguity tolerance, and ownership.
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from IIT, IIIT, or a Tier 1 institute.
  • Experience working in an agile, startup environment.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and break large projects into smaller tasks.
