Description

  • Source, track, and manage a high volume of candidates while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Partner with business leaders and hiring managers to define hiring needs and influence talent strategy.
  • Build trust and operating rhythm with cross-functional stakeholders to support company growth.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the team’s mission, product positioning, market fit, technical roadmap, and culture.
  • Pitch the team and opportunity effectively to candidates and close exceptional technical talent.
  • Track and analyze pipeline and performance data to identify opportunities and communicate insights.
  • Build and improve recruiting strategies, including referral programs and process improvements.
  • Use prospecting tools and techniques such as information retrieval, data extraction, web scraping, automation, and candidate management.
  • Conduct candidate interviews and assess fit based on hiring manager preferences.
  • Engage passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, Boolean strings, referral campaigns, and SOBO campaigns.
  • Provide a consistent, positive candidate experience through proactive communication and engagement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience recruiting and sourcing technical roles and closing top-tier engineering talent, with startup/software experience preferred.
  • Experience hiring across engineering disciplines, including software, hardware, or both.
  • 3+ years of client interaction experience working with hiring managers and directors.
  • Experience taking new requirements, reviewing profiles, and updating pipeline progress.
  • Consultative experience where guidance improved outcomes and candidate experience.
  • Strong understanding of the technical skills and experience required for engineering positions.
  • Clear and effective communication skills for understanding candidate motivation, drivers, and fit.
  • Experience managing multiple candidate funnels through the recruitment process.
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems and HRIS systems.
  • Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods.
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of sourcing channels.
  • Experience in startup, tech, or a relevant domain preferred.
  • Ability to work with little direct supervision preferred.
  • Resilience and creativity to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly preferred.
  • Direct, succinct communication style and strong active listening preferred.
  • High ownership, low ego, and high curiosity preferred.
  • This is a 6-12 month contract role with the ability to convert to a permanent position.
