Description

  • Articulate the product vision and own the technical strategy for the simulation product, including infrastructure, scenario authoring tools, and end-user experience.
  • Embed with operators and gather requirements across programs to build a unified, prioritized product roadmap.
  • Engage directly with military operators to understand training workflows, proficiency requirements, and operational pain points.
  • Listen to the developer community, diagnose product deficiencies on the Lattice platform, and assess their impact on the simulation experience.
  • Break down ambiguous technical problems into concrete plans and work with engineering to scope features, plan sprints, and drive execution.
  • Build consensus among diverse stakeholders and communicate technical direction clearly to both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Partner with business development, marketing, and proposal teams on external storytelling and customer demonstrations.
  • Lead delivery of new simulation capabilities and define KPIs to measure success and guide product strategy.
  • Own the leave-behind capability strategy that helps operators maintain proficiency between formal training sessions.
  • Help define product team culture and establish best practices for product development at Anduril.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in product development for complex software systems, including robotics, simulation, training systems, or mission-critical defense applications.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on product management experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand technical designs, software development lifecycle, architectural tradeoffs, and risks.
  • Comfort with kinematic modeling, sensor physics, and real-time distributed systems.
  • Proven success decomposing complex problems into actionable component parts.
  • Ability to motivate cross-functional teams and work with stakeholders across different technical backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Background in defense, aerospace, or autonomous systems is preferred.
  • Experience with Software-in-the-Loop (SiTL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiTL), or similar hardware/software integration testing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Unity, Unreal, or physics simulation frameworks is preferred.
  • Familiarity with LVC architectures, HLA/DIS standards, or distributed simulation systems is preferred.
  • Experience with scenario authoring tools, training curriculum development, or instructional system design is preferred.
  • Familiarity with DoD training standards, certification requirements, or after-action review (AAR) methodologies is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a military operator, trainer, or instructor with tactical systems experience is preferred.
  • An active security clearance is helpful but not required.
