Description

  • Lead and mentor product managers across Europe and Australia while balancing people management with individual contributor work.
  • Define, communicate, and drive the strategy and vision for Algolia’s Tech Platform with executive stakeholders and teams across the organization.
  • Own the trajectory, timelines, and delivery of major platform features for the core search and agentic infrastructure.
  • Work across AI Platform, Engine & Infrastructure, and Platform SDK to increase iteration speed and accelerate internal development.
  • Identify opportunities to platformize capabilities in collaboration with engineers and product managers to maximize impact.
  • Balance internal platform needs with customer-facing priorities by understanding infrastructure constraints and business objectives.
  • Ensure the platform scales reliably for all customers while remaining developer-friendly and extensible.
  • Lead retrieval capabilities and plan infrastructure needs for Algolia’s evolution into the agentic world.
  • Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, design, product marketing, GTM sales, and customer support to launch and support products.
  • Build strategic third-party partnerships to improve product economics and identify new opportunities.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of product management experience, ideally with developer-first and platform products.
  • Management experience with a strong individual contributor focus, including PM mentoring.
  • Proven experience building and scaling technical platforms for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with API platforms, SDKs, or infrastructure products.
  • 5+ years of experience with multi-tier distributed architecture, enterprise software infrastructure, and cloud technologies.
  • Deep understanding of developer-friendly platforms and tools, with experience improving engineering velocity.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence executive stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with search engines, ML/AI technologies, retrieval systems, and platform infrastructure.
  • Preferred experience at scale, including organizations with 10,000+ customers, $200M-$500M ARR, and high growth.
  • Bonus: experience writing code for work, school, or personal projects.
