Description

  • Empathize with end users and balance their needs against external constraints in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Own software-enabled solutions deployed to customers and optimize for end-user value.
  • Design and implement scalable software with a path for architecture and capability evolution.
  • Contribute to the design and development of reusable software services across multiple Anduril product lines.
  • Develop software that runs on and off robotic platforms using a variety of technologies.
  • Help define and execute development processes for vehicle and mission software, including testing, monitoring, and operation.
  • Create test and simulation fixtures that support software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team and mentor software engineers from different backgrounds.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time to co-locate with end users and/or other teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer with one or more areas of domain or technical expertise.
  • Experience with systems and/or application programming, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design.
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
  • Ability to work across the software stack and throughout the lifecycle, from design through implementation, operation, and sustainment.
  • Ability to act as technical owner for a software service, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, team coordination, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
  • Ability to learn and grow individually while mentoring junior team members and building team cohesion.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Experience delivering a military mission system, preferred.
  • Experience writing backend services or embedded software in C++, Rust, and/or Go, preferred.
  • Experience writing frontend applications using TypeScript and React, preferred.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and operating horizontally scaled cloud technologies, preferred.
  • Experience with embedded software, particularly in robotics, preferred.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation, preferred.
  • Experience developing high-assurance safety-critical software, preferred.
  • Experience across the product delivery lifecycle, including manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment, preferred.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering concepts, preferred.
  • Desire to grow into a Senior Software Engineer, Staff Software Engineer, or Tech Lead Manager role, preferred.
