Description

Contribute to the direction of a small research team with technical expertise and ideas.
Create mathematically principled solutions to complex information science problems.
Prototype state-of-the-art algorithms in an agile development environment.
Implement high-performance software across tactical systems and web applications.
Use modeling and simulation environments, analysis tools, and compute clusters to evaluate technology impact.
Engage with customers to support successful mission-critical outcomes.
Explain technical work clearly to colleagues and customers.
Develop solutions that move from research into deployed systems.

Requirements

M.S. or Ph.D. in Applied or Computational Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Controls and Dynamical Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Statistics and Probability, or a related field.
Experience coding in Rust, C++, and Python.
Demonstrated academic excellence with experience in applied mathematics, engineering, scientific computing, and/or probability.
Knowledge of differential equations, linear algebra, numerical analysis, and optimization.
Experience with controls, estimation theory, digital signal processing, and machine learning.
Experience with software design, algorithm implementation, software analysis, testing, and optimization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
Ability to provide transcripts or detailed academic coursework information during the early application process.

Base salary range of $190,000 to $252,000 USD.
