Description

  • Develop electronic warfare and radar system concepts, signal processing and machine learning algorithms, and RF solutions for remote sensing challenges.
  • Lead small, multi-disciplinary teams that develop, implement, test, and integrate sensing, electronic warfare, and signal processing systems.
  • Direct modeling and simulation activities for advanced RF systems to support algorithm development, testing, and integration.
  • Plan and support algorithm test and evaluation in laboratory and field environments, including performance assessment.
  • Communicate technical progress and results with customers, stakeholders, sponsors, prime contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Translate customer requirements into research focus and technical approaches.
  • Prepare and present both deep technical briefings and high-level briefings to customers and senior management.
  • Design, analyze, and demonstrate signal processing algorithms for complex systems.
  • Work across multi-disciplinary teams to integrate algorithms into operationally relevant systems.

Requirements

  • Active Security Clearance and eligibility to support special access programs; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • PhD, MS, or BS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3-8+ years of relevant experience depending on degree level.
  • Strong scientific programming skills in Matlab, Python, Simulink, and/or C/C++.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience designing, implementing, testing, and analyzing ML/AI algorithms.
  • Strong understanding of radar architectures, waveforms, modes, and RF signal chains.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills working on and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to create technical and executive-level briefings for customers and senior management.
  • Current TS/SSBI with SCI, and ability to gain and hold SCI/SAP accreditations, is preferred.
  • Experience with advanced RF system concepts, signal processing, open architectures, and systems integration is preferred.
  • Experience in software development is preferred.
  • Ability to survey literature, identify state-of-the-art methods, and transition them into integrated solutions is preferred.
  • Experience working with decision-makers to translate mission needs into end-to-end analytical solutions is preferred.
