Description

  • Drive production reporting and set safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals across multiple production teams and work centers.
  • Set monthly and quarterly production targets and maintain accountability for manufacturing performance.
  • Lead, develop, and organize the leadership team, including succession planning for supervisors and managers.
  • Define operational direction by establishing goals, policies, and processes and delegating execution to other leaders.
  • Shape and adjust manufacturing policies that influence business outcomes across the department.
  • Tackle complex operational challenges and guide supervisors and managers toward tactical problem-solving.
  • Lead strategic projects spanning multiple parts of the business and lasting up to a year.
  • Drive near- and long-term business outcomes while supporting production operations and cross-functional peers.
  • Set team culture across multiple production leaders and balance tactical execution with strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align priorities and customer needs.
  • Oversee cross-functional projects across all work centers under your responsibility.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting on production performance and strategic vision.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in production-oriented fields, including 3+ years in a Manager or Sr. Manager role in a high-volume production environment.
  • Experience working with ERP and MES systems, including implementing new systems.
  • Strong understanding of the product life cycle from NPI to scaled production, LEAN manufacturing principles, and ECO-based change management.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, work instructions, building plans, equipment specs, and electrical schematics.
  • Extremely reliable, organized, and detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for employee development and experience training new and veteran production leaders.
  • Proven process and equipment troubleshooting skills in constantly changing production environments.
  • Experience supporting process development.
  • Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma principles.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
  • Preferred: direct leadership of Operations Managers and teams of more than 100 people.
  • Preferred: regular C-suite executive reporting experience.
  • Preferred: NPI experience across all levels of production maturity.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or applied science.
  • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of AS9100 standards and OSHA laws.
  • Preferred: ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Preferred: experience in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment supporting vehicles, aircraft, or complex systems.
  • Preferred: ability to build trusted cross-functional relationships.

  • Base salary range of $144,000 to $191,000 USD.
