Description

  • Define and execute a long-term product strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Conduct business case and ROI analyses to guide investment decisions.
  • Develop product requirements, feature specifications, pricing models, and Product Requirements Documents.
  • Identify and integrate emerging technologies that improve operational capabilities and market position.
  • Establish product goals, key success metrics, and performance metrics, then track progress.
  • Partner with engineering leads and technical program managers to ensure designs are scalable and manufacturable.
  • Work cross-functionally with finance and business leadership to set and achieve product financial targets.
  • Lead margin optimization efforts through design improvements, make-versus-buy decisions, and technology introductions.
  • Partner with business development and field operations to gather customer insights and refine product offerings.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Program Management, or Systems Engineering focused on rugged, highly performant operational sensing systems.
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end product development from strategy and design through execution and commercialization.
  • Strong technical understanding of hardware-software systems, including computer vision, AI/ML, autonomy, networking, and embedded systems.
  • Experience working with government, defense, or aerospace customers and familiarity with DoD procurement and acquisition processes.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Background in military operations, surveillance, or force protection is preferred.
  • Experience with supply chain, manufacturing, and scaling production for high-tech hardware products is preferred.
  • Experience with optical systems, particularly infrared systems, is preferred.
