Description

  • Own the design and development of advanced phased arrays and RF electronics for military radar systems.
  • Lead testing, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts to meet radar performance requirements across operating environments.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and help maintain quality across team deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define radar architectures, system concepts, and end-to-end product requirements.
  • Conduct trade studies, RF simulations, and prototyping to improve system performance.
  • Drive technical decision-making and contribute to program strategy.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices relevant to radar development.
  • Support production ramp-up, including design for manufacturing, design for testability, and supplier engagement.
  • Work across the full radar system development lifecycle from ideation through initial production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience developing RF electronics, phased arrays, antennas, or related radar electronics.
  • Proficiency with RF design and analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, or comparable tools.
  • Experience with RF measurement equipment, including network analyzers, signal analyzers, and near-field scanners.
  • Strong PCB design knowledge, including schematic capture and layout, with experience in tools like Altium.
  • Deep understanding of electronic systems engineering, including design specification, part selection, and test planning.
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, solve complex problems, and implement innovative solutions with attention to detail.
  • Experience working across multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • Master’s degree in RF/Microwave Engineering (preferred).
  • Expertise in active phased array radar and beamforming technologies (preferred).
  • Knowledge of antenna array simulation, design, and manufacturing (preferred).
  • Familiarity with advanced PCB technologies for high-frequency RF and high-density routing/interconnect (preferred).
  • Track record of leading phased array radar system designs from concept to production in a defense or aerospace environment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, C++, or similar languages for design, simulation, and testing (tool familiarity).
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance (tool familiarity section).
  • Transcripts requested during early application review; unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
