Description

  • Coordinate the movement of hardware, spares, and personnel between main operating bases and forward operating bases across the Middle East and Africa.
  • Arrange intra-theater transport using military airlift, rotary-wing assets, ground convoys, and contracted carriers as needed.
  • Work with military movement control teams to schedule lift, secure manifest space, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Prepare, validate, and submit military transport documentation, including DD Form 1149, DD Form 1387, DD Form 250, AWBs, hazmat declarations, and customs paperwork.
  • Build and submit Transportation Movement Requests and coordinate Government Bill of Lading shipments with military counterparts.
  • Ensure shipments comply with DoD, host-nation, ITAR, EAR, and dangerous goods regulations.
  • Maintain chain-of-custody for sensitive, classified, and hazardous shipments.
  • Receive, inspect, and accept inbound equipment and manage outbound retrograde, RMA, and depot repair shipments.
  • Reconcile forward-deployed inventory records against physical counts and maintain accountability across multiple sites.
  • Support internal teams and customers through daily communication, escalation management, SOP development, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • BA/BS preferred, or equivalent military/operational experience in lieu of education.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or military operations, including forward-deployed or in-theater experience.
  • Direct experience working with U.S. military logistics organizations such as Army G-4/S-4, USAF LRS, USMC Logistics, Navy Supply, SDDC, AMC, or TMO/JMO.
  • Hands-on experience preparing military transport documentation such as DD 1149, DD 1387, TMRs, GBLs, AWBs, and hazmat declarations.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to 100% compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight in ambiguous, fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with military personnel, government representatives, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with Oracle ERP, Odoo, Salesforce, JIRA, Slack, and Excel.
  • Willingness and ability to live and work in hazard/imminent danger zones in the Middle East and Africa for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% between bases in theater.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance; TS/SCI eligibility preferred.
  • Prior U.S. military logistics, supply, or transportation experience is preferred.
  • Deployment experience supporting SOCOM, JSOC, or partner force units in CENTCOM or AFRICOM is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ILS and CLS support models is preferred.
  • Experience with military air movement processes, pallet build-up, 463L pallets, or HAZMAT air certification is preferred.
  • Current Dangerous Goods certification under IATA, IMDG, or 49 CFR is preferred.
  • Experience supporting Counter-UAS, Air Defense, or ISR systems in a forward-deployed environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with host-nation customs processes across GCC countries and East/North Africa is preferred.
  • An active U.S. Secret or TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
