Description

  • Prepare and brief missions and flight cards while supporting flight mission planning to meet engineering requirements.
  • Act as a safety pilot and help maintain a safe posture during flight and ground operations.
  • Perform duties as Internal Pilot in Command during flight operations using Lattice/GCS.
  • Support flight operations on an agile team and help overcome technical challenges.
  • Maintain required internal and external training and certifications, including FAA certifications.
  • Document procedures, techniques, and best practices for flight crew operations.
  • Work with program leadership and cross-functional teams on flight test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Support test and evaluation activities across flight operations and test range management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience flying Group 1-3 UAS.
  • Experience as an RC, RPIC, or pilot-operator (PIC) on fixed-wing commercial and/or defense Group 1-3 aircraft.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Part 107 certificate.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency with computer use, including Linux familiarity, standard browsers, and word processing applications.
  • Willingness to be multi-capable, including some electronics troubleshooting and repair.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to rapidly change roles and responsibilities in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Preferred: Part 61 pilot’s license.
  • Preferred: 5 years of developmental test experience.
  • Preferred: 5 years of turbine experience.
